The Day of the Dead
The Day of the Dead is based on a real story in which a group of suburban kids kill homeless people for fun in downtown Chicago. One day, the kids kill a Mexican girl as they thought there will be no consequences since he is an illegal immigrant. However, Carla Moreno who works as a police detective took up the case and starts on her investigation. As she progresses in the investigation, she discovers that the Mexican girl was murdered due to racism and police corruption. The father of the Mexican girl was offered a 15 day humanitarian visa so that he can bring his daughter back to Mexico. Detective Moreno reports for work to the Homeland Security Department. When the body of the girl mysteriously become missing, detective Moreno decides to stop the investigation. Despite that, her father decides to investigate the case himself to obtain revenge.
